The fun comes to an end

So after many free items from Gratis/Freepay, it looks like the ride is over. I received this email:

This email concerns an important change to the Terms & Conditions for [SiteAddress].
  • With a start date of March 1, 2006 – users of FreePay websites have 90 days to complete all offer requirements.
  • Upon completion of all offer requirements, existing users will need to print a "Redemption Form" that must be filled out in its entirety and mailed with a postmarked date no later than 30 days of completing their offer requirements.
You will find an indication of how many days you have left to complete the requirements on the Status page. When you have completed the requirements you will be able to download the redemption form from the Status page.

To coincide with this change, look out for an update soon that will make it even easier to refer friends!

Best wishes

- The FreePay Team

On the surface, this seems like a bad move. I don't know many people that could complete the entire offer within 90 days. I think a better solution would be similar to what airlines use for FF miles. If no 'qualifying activity' in X number of days, then your account is closed. For example, if an account has not received any new referrals in 90 days, then axe it. Another option would be to allow transfers of credits between each of their sites, but I doubt that will ever happen. Oh well, hopefully a new reputable company will step in and fill the void.

My fifth iPod has arrived today. In case you're keeping score, I've gotten a nano, shuffle, photo, mini, and regular iPod all for free. As always, check out the links on the left of my main site for the most current promotions, including xbox 360, and PSP! Or if you're just interested in an iPod, check here.

A big thanks to Scott, and my sister who both signed up for this one......

As always I'm still looking for signups for the Xbox 360, Mac mini, and PSP. Big thanks to Scott, Nate, and Andy who signed up so I could get the shuffle.

My iPod photo arrived today. (That's makes free iPod #3). Pictures of all three can be found in my Album here.

If you want to feel the love, Gratis now has a Free Xbox 360 offer. Check here for details. I've added it to my list of links on the left side of the page. This may be the only way Lara let's me get one, so help me out. ;-)

FYI: It takes 8 referrals to receive your xbox.

Gold Box part deux

Amazon.com has quietly brought back their Gold Box specials. They've revamped it a little, where you now get a choice between two items, with the option to 'save' one and look at the next item. I've gone through the new one twice now, and it appears to be as useless as ever. Still, it's an entertaining 60 seconds to see what kind of crap they try to sell you.

Papa John's coupons

Papa John's has a daily Click 'N Win game. The grand prizes are Best Buy gift certificates, but even if you don't win, you will get a coupon for free items at Papa John's. Here are a handful of one-time use codes that I'm sure I'll never get around to using. You can only use one coupon per order.

Free two (2) 20oz bottles or one (1) free two-liter bottle

Free Breadsticks

To use the codes, simply login to order a pizza online, and look for the link at the top to enter the promotional code.

FreeGiftWorld impressions

Back in November, I signed up for a promotion with freegiftworld.com. It was for a free GameCube game (I chose Pikmin 2). I finally received the item yesterday, but I had to keep bugging them about it. First, they didn't show which offer I participated in. Then after that, I had to 'convince' them that I completed the offer. Then once I finally qualified, I still never received the item. I had to email support again to ask where it was, and then they promptly shipped it.

The good news, it was technically free, and their support were very prompt and curteous when replying. The bad news, it was probably more aggravation than it was worth. I guess they hope you'll just forget about it, and they won't have to provide the gift.

Overall, I'd probably recommend the Gratis sites over freegiftworld. (Free iPod nano, Free iPod, Free xbox 360, Free Mac mini, Free iPod shuffle or Free PSPs). I received my iPod only a month after first signing up for their program. Details here.

NOTE: I have received iPod #2 and a photo iPod which makes 3. I have pictures here.

The email address I contacted was supportfgw@freegiftworld.com

Free digital prints at CVS.

Yesterday I went to CVS to use the following coupon for 10 free digital camera prints. I've never used CVS's service, but I was fairly impressed. The 4x6 pictures came out very nice. They're printed on Kodak paper, but they do have a different 'feel' from a standard print. You can do some basic cropping/editing from the kiosk which is a nice touch. Also, apparently you can upload your pictures to cvs.com, but I haven't personally tried it as I don't know if the coupon would work.

I'll give it a try

So I've decided to try out the freeipod craze. If you want to try out a free month of Blockbuster, BMG, or many other promotions, I'd appreciate the help.

Also, they now have a similar offer for the new Photo iPod.

There are plenty of people that have had it work for them. Here are a couple of the Screen Savers hosts with their testimony.
