Decisions, decisions

Yesterday, I had a consultation with the Duke Center for Vision Correction. My doctor is Dr. Carlson. Supposedly he's one of the premiere eye doctors in the country. After several hours of tests, he concluded that I would be a perfect candidate for LASIK vision correction. I've scheduled my surgery for January of 2006. I'm still not 100% sure I'll go through with it, but I have a month or so to decide. Wish me luck.

Keep me posted. I'm considering it, too.

A co-worker of mine had that surgery done a couple of years ago -- he always talks about how it was the worst thing he's ever done considering he had to go through a year of follow up surgeries to fix what they screwed up the first time around. His vision was actually worse after the first surgery. They eventually got it right but he said that he almost went blind.

But hey! Don't let that stop ya! I'm sure he just went to some place that was offering "Fix one eye -- second one is free" coupons.
